A community that is diverse & unified, is much stronger than a community, that is uniform & unified.
When we find people, with whom we share similar grounds, we tend to like them and there is more possibility for us to become good friends.
Similarly, when we meet people who are different from us, (people with different ideologies, people who like different sports, food), we tend to distance ourselves from them, and there is more probability for us not to become friends, because we won't tend to spend time together.
But ironically, when people who are good in one aspect come together, they will be able to do exceptionally well in similar aspects. But if some issue arises relating to the aspects that they are not familiar with, they will end up in trouble, and sometimes, they may not even be able to survive it.
These kinds of unfortunate events can be avoided, when we are a group of people, who are trained or good in different aspects of life.
Hence, when a community finds a way to co-exist with all kinds of people, (even with people of different extremes), there is more chance of survival.
This can be achieved, when we start to value everyone only for the fact that he or she is a human being.
We should be able to look over the differences in living-standard, profession, wealth, race, color, family backgrounds, religion, beliefs, etc…
Simply, we should be able to love everyone, the way we love ourselves, irrespective of the differences.
This is the secret of a community's strength & survival.
A community that is diverse & unified, is much stronger than a community, that is uniform & unified.
If you are a part of a diverse community, try to find ways to stay united.
If you are a part of a uniform community, try to accept diverse nature.
NOTE: In the book, 'Genesis', we can read that, "Every man & woman are made in the image and likeness of God." Isn't this fact alone, is enough to value everyone equally.
Wow.
